1. Spy island is a band/shut-in collective. A ragtag troupe of friends, noise makers, and caffeinated cellar dwellers. Some spies live in NYC and Detroit, most in Portland.

2. 2.Dale Nicholls is the songwriter. His grandfather played trombone on the I Love Lucy show. His dad went to Juilliard. His mom taught him guitar. He works retail.
   

3. 3.Spy Island’s keyboard player (Akila!!) played with the Ringling Bros. Circus for years. He lived on a train and played "Wheel In The Sky" while the trapeze walked on a flaming wheel. In the sky.
   

4. 4.Spy Island will release three records this year. Why not?
   

5. 5.When Dale was young, he saw Don Knotts at a casino in Vegas. He was with two hookers. Dale’s mom said they were his daughters. She later admitted she lied.
   

6. 6.They record all of our material at home, but hope to get some hi-fi days in the future.
